While studying abroad in Rome, our class had the opportunity to visit Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche Roma, ISIA Roma Design, and collaborate with students on a poster project. I created a series of posters utilizing actual graffiti from cities around the world. Graffiti is an international language of symbols and styles that transcends language yet each poster has unique styles pulled from that city's walls.

I noticed while traveling to European cities that the Vans stores do not offer merchandise customized for each city. The idea was born for Vans x city graffiti. I designed something I would want to own.
